Because of the special rotating base which allows the Agro-Ecolum reflector lamp to rotate on an axis after it has been installed in a lighting device and direct the luminous flux in the desired direction,  reflector sodium and metal halide lamps can be installed in the traditional lighting devices for sodium and metal halide lamps without any modifications.
The rotating base opens the possibility of directing the luminous flux in any direction, eliminating the need and purchase of special expensive lighting instruments and equipment.
In addition, the rotating base also has a solid threaded connection with the lamp bulb, which completely eliminates the base-bulb connection.
